What’s in a name? Pacari means nature in Quechua, an Andean indigenous language, and that’s what we’re all about, making the most of nature’s ingredients and protecting and defending her. Pacari is a family-owned Ecuadorian company, with a simple mission: to produce the highest quality organic dark chocolate in the world in the most ethical and sustainable way possible.
Best Buy and ranked No1 most Ethical chocolate brand in the UK by Ethical Consumer Magazine
Pacari goes beyond Fairtrade, for example; supports families in Ecuador by working with them directly, not with middle men, pays farmers a significant premium over Fairtrade prices to ensure they are properly compensated for their hard work.
We have won over 350 international chocolate awards so far. This is because we use the finest Arriba Nacional cacao beans. Known as “Fino de Aroma’, these Ecuadorian beans are known for their rich, full taste and their fruity and floral notes.
All our chocolate bars are made from 60% of cacao or more.
High cacao content chocolate has a number of health benefits. We also only use unrefined or coconut sugar and 100% natural ingredients.
We do not use pesticides, harmful fertilisers, artificial ingredients or genetically modified products in any part of the supply chain, ensuring the health and well-being of consumers, cacao growers and the environment.
